Lessons, Board and Training

Kierson Farm offers a variety of lessons to meet any riders needs:

Tiny Tot Lessons specifically for our young riders ages 3 to 6 years old. These private lesson includes 20 minutes of riding and 10 minutes of grooming and learning about horses.

Private Lessons are thirty minutes, for riders who want one on one instruction and want to take a serious approach to their lessons.

Group Lessons are available for all ages, evenings and weekends. Groups are geared for experience and development of riding skills for all levels from Introductory or Skill Building to Academy and Show riders. Group Lessons consist of 45 minutes of riding time and 15 minutes of hands on horse care.

Yoga on horseback or “lunge lessons” are offered for all ages 7 days a week. Lunge Lessons are 15 to 20 minutes of riding. These are a great way to develop core and strengthen specific muscle groups as well as balance and feel for your horse.

Mommy and Me private classes are offered for our tiny tot riders to enjoy riding with their parent. Enjoy bonding over your love of horses during a 20 minute lesson together. Pricing includes both parties.

Lesson Times: All lessons are by appointment and depend on availability. Group lessons are offered most weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Private type lessons are offered weekday afternoons, some evenings and Sundays mornings.

What do I need for my lesson or camp?

No purchases Necessary!

Riders are required to wear long pants all the way to their ankle and close toe, hard sole shoes (leggings or jeans and sneakers). Kierson Farm will provide approved helmets and all the equipment they need.

Once you are ready to purchase items, starting with boots and helmets is the first step for riding safety. Kierson Farm has an on site Boutique with discounts, new items and consignment items to help purchase the correct items a great price!

Home School: Kierson Farm can host your Home School group at a discount during our off peak hours.

Occupational Therapy

Gina Taylor, OT HPCS is a New Jersey licensed pediatric occupational therapist. She specializes in the use of hippotherapy and is a Board Certified Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist. She is certified in Sensory Integration and DIR/Floortime trained. Empowering children to reach their potential is her goal for each family she works with.

Horse Training And Boarding

At Kierson Farm we pride ourselves on offering the best care possible for our horses. We train top World and National Champions at our state of the art facility. If you are interested in competing at any level, Kierson Farm can help get you there. We offer a variety of competition levels at Kierson and can always find horses to suit your needs. Whether you are going to the local Fun Show or the World Championship, we will give you and your horse the best possible chance for success.
