KIERSON RIDING ACADEMY

Kierson farm offers a variety of lessons seven days a week and evenings year round. We have 30 wonderful lesson horses to take care of your young beginner or challenge your growing rider. All of our instructors are dedicated to providing a safe and friendly environment that promotes accomplishment, self growth, and self esteem.

 

Nothing prides us more than sharing our love for horses and watching it shape great individuals in return.

TINY TOT LESSONS

Tiny Tot Lessons are offered 7 days a week to introduce riders ages 3-6 to horses. Lessons consist of 20 minutes of riding time and 10 minutes of hands on horse care.

GROUP LESSONS

Group Lessons are available for all ages, evenings and weekends. Groups are geared for experience and development of riding skills for all levels from Introductory or Skill Building to Academy and Show riders. Group Lessons consist of 45 minutes of riding time and 15 minutes of hands on horse care.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private Lessons are offered 7 days a week for riders looking for more instruction and a serious approach to their riding. Semi Private lessons are also available for 2-3 riders at the same level. Private lessons consist of 30 minutes of saddle time.

YOGA ON HORSEBACK

Yoga on horseback or “lunge lessons” are offered for all ages 7 days a week. Lunge Lessons are 15 to 20 minutes of riding. These are a great way to develop core and strengthen specific muscle groups as well as balance and feel for your horse.

MOMMY & ME

Mommy and Me classes are offered 7 days a week. Enjoy bonding over your love of horses during a 30 minute lesson together.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR LESSONS?

Kierson Farm focuses on Saddleseat riding, but teaches a balanced, basic seat that can be developed to win a World Championship or used to enjoy riding on a leisure basis.

 

We also offer Hunt, Seat, Western, and Driving lesson upon request. Our American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Hackneys and many breeds available at Kierson Farm are very versatile in their abilities. We have had champions in all divisions.

Tack: Kierson Farm will provide all of the tack necessary for your lesson.

 

Clothing: All riders are required to wear:

  • Long pants to the ankle (jeans or leggings if you do not have riding pants)
  • Hard soled and closed toe shoes (sneakers are fine if you don't have riding boots)
  • Helmets, bike helmets are not appropriate for riding horses. Kierson Farm has helmets available for use.
  • If you would like to get your rider their own equipment or clothing, the Kierson Boutique offers everything your rider needs.
